> okay...okay. You're clearly not being emotional to try and deflect form the fact that you implied that inflation trends would hold constant
What did I say that gave you that impression? It's definitely not a belief I hold. Nor do I think providing a bunch of studies to correct a misguided statement is "being emotional".
I'm not your girlfriend, you don't need to try and gaslight me cuz you realized you said something silly. You can just not respond lol.
>The general understanding doesn't change. Printing money causes inflation.
I can sit here and link literally hundreds of studies that will show the exact opposite, but more importantly we had a 30 year period where monetary expansion continued, labor markets tightened, and inflation fell. So unless you just started paying attention to the economy a year ago and didn't look back once, you'd be aware this is an obviously false statement. We sat here for 15 years with rates at rock bottom and every bank in the world dumping money in to their economies with inflation still struggling to hit 1%. So I mean, when you say printing money causes inflation, this doesn't stand up to even the historical record in your adult lifetime (assuming you're not a teenager).
At a very very basic level, and I mean econ 101 stuff, MV=PQ exists as a general framework. Ya can't ignore the V and Q here, it's not M=P lol.
Regardless, here's some resources:

>But yes, you're very smart and your insults make you extra smart.
My man, if you're interpreting me providing information disproving things you said as insults that's on you. I don't take it personally when someone teaches me something new, neither should you. If someone came along and provided me with a ton of resources to correct an opinion I expressed I'd be very much appreciative, because I enjoy bettering my understanding of the world.
