These posts are extremely common. And I think it is partially what you’re talking about. Someone always ends up writing a 5000 word essay on why their belief of the stock market is the most true.

If you’ve learned anything about this stock market is that there’s no rules. There’s no normal.

That’s a terrifying thing for most people, especially when it comes to money. But in my lifetime alone, I’ve seen 100 or 1000 things that have never happened before, and every single pundit in the world would have said, up to that point, it will never happen.

If the market was as predictable as everyone seems to believe. If we had such easy concepts as stuff being too expensive or too cheap or to whatever, we wouldn’t need economist. We wouldn’t need financial advisors. We wouldn’t really need anything. All this stuff would be self-explanatory .

Unfortunately, it’s not.

The best you can do is say this doesn’t feel right to me based on my experience and my research. And that’s good enough.

Because don’t ever go against your feelings because you’re going to be perpetually anxious and afraid as you wait for the shoe to drop.

I.e., if you don’t believe in crypto and you think it’s all a scam, then by all means don’t invest in crypto! You’d be crazy too. Because you’re never gonna be happy with that investment.

Warren Buffett is the epitome of that. It’s not that the stuff he doesn’t invest in aren’t good investments, it’s that he isn’t comfortable with them. He doesn’t understand them. And that’s all you need. There’s more than enough investments for us non-multibillionaires to wager on Without us trying to go for stuff we don’t understand and aren’t comfortable with.

So if you think the market is too expensive, then you are perfectly, perfectly correct in your feelings. It might not play out that way, but you’re feelings are still your feelings. And unless you wanna give yourself an ulcer, I suggest you pay attention to them. You may find your perceptions and opinions changing over time, but that’s normal too
