Nothing. I agree with you. I just stated incorrect information with margin trading. However was using kucoin and not binance and kucoin at the time wasnt doing collateral. Was just attempting to use assumption that , since kucoin and binance arent very well regulated, this would discourage investors from using those platforms. to short btc or to use those platforms altogether.

U seem like u dabble in trading....? I see kraken is also now offering margin trading. Is this correct...So say i want to short. I beleive btc is going to (just gonna use simple numbers as example) drop down to $5. Today its at $10. So i execute this trade. My collateral would need to put would be at $11 correct? And either i place the buy order at $11 or person whom i borrowed the btc from will? or they'll call and warn. So say it goes against me. So when it hits $11, purchase is made and rn my loss is at $1.
