Reading the comments about the delay of the 4o voice from coming weeks to potentially months away (While some users may get it in a few weeks in a beta format, the initial timeline was changed)

Now add in the fact it seems like all they wanted to do was to announce the product before Google I/O even though it was not finished and then pretend it was ready to be shipped - but then quietly state that it won't be here for a bit

Versus Google IO they showed products, not as refined as what OpenAI showed, however, gave realistic timelines in their opinion of when it will come out. Google Search updates which have been in testing phase to come out in a few weeks, Project Astra hopefully by ear end

It feels like the product is going through a normal business vs business competition, trying to one up each other and get the dominace (which makes sense)

but if openAI does have this revolutionary technology behind them with ChatGPT5 rumoured to be a game changer once it is released, possibly in November - why have issues with getting 4o out like they said?

Does it seem like the implied potential of AGI coming in <3 years is just a marketing tool, where as you have google saying, maybe within 10 years
