I am exactly where you are in your life right now. I am obsessed with watches and I used to spend a lot of money on them until a few months back, my interest in investing peaked. I maxed out my IRA for last year and this year, I'm almost maxed out on my 401K already plus I set aside 1k/month for VOO/SCHD/VUG. Any remaining money I put in a HYSA.

So yes, It changed MY behaviour for sure, and I'm very happy.
