I'm the exact opposite.

Knowing that my retirement savings [is on track](https://old.reddit.com/r/Bogleheads/comments/18y40ty/a_real_persons_30year_journey_with_yearend/) gives me freedom enjoy my remaining money, often in ways that are financially inadvisable.

For example: I am full-time work-from-home, but I have 2 vehicles (a sports car and a 4x4 truck). And I have *car payments* on both. And it is freaking awesome.
