Asking for permission doesn’t hurt as lawsuit prevention is not an admission of anything in the U.S. Scarlett doesn’t own the sound of her voice. Others can sound like her and many do. Her voice isn’t unique. There are tons of sound alike examples in media (especially radio). They are fine. Yes, they will get sued but in the long run the fact that this processes information and doesn’t simply provide the voice itself out will win them the cases.

The government should come in and give blanket protection for any model generated content so we can go towards the future and get past this legal nonsense.
