Everyone is going to feel different about this. Sometimes after buying things I think, did I really need that now? I love Lego. I build as a way to unwind and I buy sets for my son as well. If the perceived entertainment value outweighs the value of it sitting in an account or vs. something else I would have spent it on I say spend away.

For me I don't want to be unhappy I didn't buy something small for me or my family when I had the means because I wanted to wait until the last 20 years of my life to enjoy it.
