You're doing a hell of a lot of deflecting and assuming.
Of course I know Bitcoin had predecessors, but all of them failed because they weren't truly decentralized enough. Bitcoin is the first cryptographic money that has survived state level attacks, which is why it is significant.
Your "alternatives" that offer more "speed" are not truly decentralized/secure to the point where governments can't shut them down. They have centralized figures who can be pressured or are much more likely prone to 51% attacks.
Bitcoin is likely to be the only carbon-negative industry in the future. There is plenty of instances where Bitcoin mining is being used instead of flaring gas into the atmosphere. If you aren't also equally upset about the energy use of Christmas lights which also use more energy than some countries - you're a massive hypocrite.
If real estate or gold had the properties that Bitcoin does or even came close to performing as well, I would use them. But they don't, and that is why Bitcoin is outperforming the fuck out of both of those terrible investments.
And finally, I don't give a shit about the USD price. 1 Bitcoin = 1/21,000,000 BTC yesterday, today, tomorrow. I denominate my wealth in satoshis. I just describe the dollar going to zero because that's all people like you care about.
If you're happy having other people be able to print for free the "money" you work hard for, by all means don't change a thing. It seems like you got it all figured out!
