I hired two pandemic-era graduates and they are fantastic. We have Udemy and they sucked up all the training that they could.
They are super fast, extremely talented, very dedicated, polite, etc.
Stereotypes, reducing an entire demographic to a myth - these are dangerous practices for a reason.
College is great - but college doesn’t determine a person’s worth in the job market.
A person does.
Also, let’s be real here, how many people learned how to do their current jobs in college? Likely not. We all learn our jobs through on-the-job training.
There are many white-collar jobs that smart HS grads can do - and have done.
I’ve worked with many people who never went to college but are wildly successful.
It’s sad to disqualify an entire demographic over a myth (that being: they went to college during the pandemic so they didn’t learn anything).
