I've heard reports of Russian hackers constantly meddling in social media. Who knows how many foreign controlled accounts are out there that do a good job of looking like US citizens. And then there's US citizens who are fooled by these accounts, riled up into a fever pitch on an issue... and then go out spewing the propaganda without even thinking.
