I decided to sit down and learn about Bitcoin a few weeks ago.

I'll provide my insight for those interested.

My stats would be around 850k net worth. Around 35 years old.I'm an above average saver, and as of 3 years ago I became an above average earner. I have a technology background. I grew up in a trailer house.

I would say anytime I talk to regular people about investing they just don't grasp investing. Most of the older generations have been , or heard the story of someone who invested and lost it all. They don't put effort into understanding/learning about investing. They don't want to take responsibility.

Most people who are into investing, and by that the average to slightly above average earner. So less than 200k/year. Will be cautious of Bitcoin, because it's new. They really haven't put effort into researching it.

That being said, if I use my opinion on it pre research. I would say I started my research with a goal of putting 5 percent of my net worth into Bitcoin.

Just like investing in anything, it's risky. I just want to retire and stop working because I'm so burnt out and miserable.

I just wanted to learn enough about it so I could at least understand how to keep it safe. There are no big name institutions (exchanges) like vanguard to just buy and hold on.

I would say the biggest thing I've learned about it, that should get most people interested (the ones that know about investing) is the fact that like 97% of all Bitcoin has been mined.

That being said, even though I have a technology background I'm uneasy about the idea of a wallet that I'm responsible for. What if my house burns down? What unforseen thing could cause me to lose the wallet somehow? I don't want to be responsible for a wallet, With a high percentage of my net worth.

I'll end all this with saying that many people in here know little of wealth building, I hope Bitcoin gets them interested in it, but all this talk of taking loans to essentially let them invest.
