They are pushing CBDCs which will allow them to do things like force us to spend our money before a given deadline. Governments do not want their citizens to have access to a stable store of value. They want us forever running on a treadmill. Absolutely bitcoin and fiat cannot coexist peacefully.

Also I strongly disagree with your view that the endgame is to cash out into fiat. No. Bitcoin is the profit. My life savings is denominated in bitcoin, I am never selling.
