Georgia’s political parties have reentered negotiations over the April 19th agreement. Now that Georgian Dream is outside of the governing coalition, the party has expressed greater interest in the measures to assign chairmanships to opposition MPs. Georgia’s economy is already transparent. Although wealth inequality remains substantial, these measures will make Georgia a regional leader in governmental transparency and reduce Georgia’s vulnerability to cronyism.
