Hi, I'm new to all this, but not new to investment. I think the amount of new supply (inflation) is fairly crucial to maintaining (not diluting) the value of your investment.

I'm comparing cryptocurrencies and their inflation rates. A lower rate seems a lot better. I'm also looking at burn rates, which seem to be like share buybacks. A share buyback doesn't affect the investment return, it just returns some cash to shareholders. Like dividends. See dividend irrelevance theory... So, I think I should be looking at inflation only and ignoring burn rates. Except if burning crypto is somehow not applied across the board. How exactly does it work for different currencies? Do you just automatically surrender a proportion of your holdings and receive USD?

Many thanks!!!
