Since 2020, 18 year olds have missed a traditional graduation ceremony, prom, first semester of college all because of the pandemic. Given if they followed a traditional high school to college route (in four years; i would say this isn’t very common these days…) some of these students might simply not want to miss out on another milestone. Not to mention 2 hours is probably the time it takes to upload graduation speeches, handshakes, etc (especially if they were anticipating trouble..). Here are couple articles showing Morehouse’s less notable civil disobedience when comparing it to the camp outs seen at Ivy League School-Colombia & UCLA.
