You are spot on with the alliances and how interconnected they are. Lots of good points throughout.

To that point, saw a piece today about how far North Korean tech has advanced over the course of the Ukraine war, given all the exchange and supply between Russia and NK.

On BRICs itself - while I think that Russia/China/NK/Iran are definitely going to be an anti-west block, I think the rest are there to observe/ see what they can get out of it. The rest have conflicting interests, so even ‘all grown up’ it’s not going to be ‘Warsaw Pact II’.
