It will never be a global currency. It's sort of tragic you imagine it could be. The vast majority of the world doesn't trust crypto due to all the fraud in the industry as well as the extreme volatility. Even in places that supposedly adopted it people hate using it. It's slow. It's inconvenient. The volatility means you could accept a $100 payment this morning and by the end of the day (and minus all the fees) it is worth less.

And its entire reputation as a "non fiat" currency is absurd. It's easy to track. You only need a little info to track someone's wallet. It's less private than banking or cash in this regard. And now it is being traded on the market in regulated securities...

It's just a highly speculative investment at this point nothing more. I know I'm wasting my breath on this. It's a cult to the diehard. There's no logic. Just a desperate need to feel special or like they're smarter than everyone else.
