Whats actually happening here is a pr team hiring a bot farm, comprised of AI or people working for slave wages, to spam engagement and steer discussion towards a preferred viewpoint.
Apparently everyone in this thread really hates... uhh who is this guy again??? Some random ai tech dude or whatever? Totally believable and real behavior for 1000s of users to suddenly know about some obscure tech guys tweeting behaviors lol.
