I just wonder why is it not a good idea?

A small tank that is about 1/4 of a Sherman tank, it will have the following equipment

1.) Dual heavy machine gun, with a RPG in case they encountered a heavy tank 2.) Dual camera besides the machine gun, which the driver can drive through VR 3.) Drones, which the second crew can control through VR to scout ahead 4.) About 1000 rounds of bullets, a customised design M-16 rifles can easily reloaded from the vehicle. Allowing the soldiers to either carry less ammo, or have access to even more ammo during heavy fire. 5.) 100 hp engine, which can travel up to 50 km/h and have a crew of two 6.) Even in the worst case scenario where the tank is disabled, soldiers can still hide behind the tank and use it as a protection.
