A realistic game engine that will run through battles / campaigns with historically correct data down to (maybe as low as) company level?

I just got bit by a project: counter-factual history for Army Group North. What if its mission had been less ambitious? what if Leningrad only needed to be blocked off from the south and south west, and if the Murmansk railway could be left to resources in Finland.

Would that have not empowered Group Center? and so thereby empowered South?

I have Gary Grigsby's WITE ... hoping to find something now quite so in-depth for a first run.
