Hey everyone,

This post is inspired by a video I was shown about clearing rooms. Most of them have a system of checking corners/silent communication on the initiation but I'm super confused about the first man in. Excluding entry using explosive devices, I don't understand how the first man in doesn't get shot when turning a corner. Is the expectation that the opposing force doesn't know the attack is coming? I'd imagine that a moderately trained individual with sights on a corner/door would always have the leg up on an individual entering as the breaching individual doesn't know the exact position of the opposition inside. Is there some aspect of clearing/entry that I am just unaware of?
