If you live in the EU you have a much better chance of coming up with an answer. In the USA the political machine will not allow the CDC to seriously study this and if they did, the truth would be confined to a few safe potential causes. I think the answer lies within the endocrine disruptor theory, but in the US it is very difficult to get serious research on this.

I know that places like the Netherlands have been tracking testosterone levels and fertility since the 1930's and their research used to be available years ago but I can't access it anymore from the US. Good luck though if you are researching this because the answer I feel is hidden in plain sight.

I have been looking at women's healthcare issues for years but on a much smaller scale. If you do find something interesting, ping me if you can, I would be interested. Cheers!
