I think all these new apps have a problem with finding good accounts to follow. It was so organic with Twitter as people slowly learned how to use social media but now we are advanced users but the platforms aren’t necessarily mature enough for our tastes. Either algorithms push garbage at us or it’s hard to find people aside from the people retweeted by the people you’re following, it becomes inbred a bit since people aren’t “discovering social media” the same way they used to, they casually and jadedly log back in, glance at nothing exciting, and log out without anything changing in the formula that will continue deliver those lackluster habitual experiences
