Yes, if you're close enough to a juror, you can probably guess. But it doesn't seem straightforward either. Would you tell a random coworker that you're absent for jury duty? Your boss needs to know, does everyone you work with?

The trial is in Manhattan, with the population of smaller European countries. There are thousands of people absent from work on any given day for various reasons, and there are many trials every day. Even if you know someone is on a jury, statistically the chances are they're on some other jury and not the Trump trial.

I'm sure that there are multiple people in New York now who Are close enough to the jurors to suspect that they're on the jury... but then what? As I understand it, jury tampering or juror intimidation is a serious crime. Suppose you're almost sure your coworker John is on the Trump jury, what are you going to do? Post it on Facebook? Ask the juror about the case? Best case you get a "sorry, I can't talk about any case", worst case you get criminal charges.

So some people outside the court have definitely puzzled out some juror's identity, but it seems you'd have to be a special brand of stupid to reveal that publicly.
