There's no pro-Hamas crowd. There are protesters who don't want to see the US fund war crimes. Only a tiny, tiny minority of the protesters support what Hamas did on October 7th. I'm all over this thread criticizing Israel's actions, and I'm not pro-Hamas.

Also, there's no actual evidence that him supporting the protesters is a losing position "for sure." And if all people care about here is him being re-elected, why would it matter that he spent his second term "clawing out of tar pits," which I don't believe anyway. If he "pulls it off" and wins the election on that stance, why would it harm him in his second term?
