The main disadvantage imo, is that it is possible to decrease decentralizion due to a much larger storage requirement, due to the larger block size limit. This assumes waay more transactions than BCH sees. If BTC had greatly increased its block size, how many years before the average person couldn't afford the storage for a node? It could have been several terabytes by now. This is not a big risk for BTC, because storage is getting cheaper, faster than it can grow.
