I think the liberal media is fucking scared out of their minds about Trump and yes are literally on a doomer frenzy. They laughed him off in 2016 and they will never live down how wrong they were back then.

A lot of these people are also old. Modern politics is alien to them. Trump is regularly doing and saying things that, when they were younger, would've destroyed politicians. He fucking tried to coup the government and 1/3rd of people still support him. They can't believe he's still got a shot at being president even now.

Pundits regard Trump like Hitler at the moment. A man who wasn't taken seriously until he eventually won, riding on a cult of personality, and was able to destroy his own country because that's what any authoritarian goon does.

They literally cannot think of Trump as anything other than a max level existential threat and won't relax until Biden has won by 10 points at the ballot box.
