How is central bank digital currency good for freedom? It’s literally a digital fiat currency that would essentially allow EVERY transaction ever to be traced.
Along with the implications of validators/nodes controlled by a central entity deciding what wallets are valid. What wallets aren’t valid, complete control of the money supply like we already have (IN THE US)
Edit: I would argue the entire reason those who have flocked to crypto was to escape central banking, not necessarily because of it being a digital currency, most of our currency doesn’t exist in the real world anyways, it’s produced digitally
Allowing a central bank to use a digital currency just allows for all transactions to be tracked now, as well as BLOCKED, halted ect, all that can be foreseen with cbdc is more oversight, restrictions and taxation against our will. No good can come from cbdc.
All I see is a central entity grasping for more power than it already has.
