If you don’t know what to invest in, or you find investing overwhelming i highly recommend investing in funds rather than individual stocks or trying to trade complicated things like options.

A fund is essentially a big pot of money that professional investors trade with to make money for everyone. If you add your money into the pot you get to share in the winnings if there are any.

Mutual funds are actively monitored so there’s a little bit of a fee (expense ratio), and ETFs are usually passively managed so the fee is smaller.

Let’s say you have $100 to invest. You could buy one stock in some random company, or could keep saving up until you can afford a popular stock like Apple or something.

Or instead, you could invest that in a fund. And maybe 10% of your money goes towards Apple, 10% goes towards Amazon etc.

It’s a way for you to diversify without needing tons of money. And you can check the portfolio of any fund and find some that invest in companies or industries you like.

This way you can just drop your money in one or a handful of funds and never worry about how any specific company is doing because you’re diversified!

Good luck and happy investing! Let me know if you have any questions!
