That's actually a pretty good way to describe Red Lobster. I haven't eaten there in 20 years at least but I don't ever recall it being a bad experience. For us it was our typical special occasion dining establishment growing up. I largely stopped visiting many chain restaurants like that though because at some point (looking at you Chili's especially) it feels like they all moved to cheaper food preparation. I don't know if RL ever declined in food quality but it is a shame seeing a lot of chain restaurants I used to enjoy get gobbled up by investment firms looking to cut costs where ever they can.
