There’s a reason that “a dentist with a boat” is a running joke. Motorcycles are toys for rich retired or semi-retired guys who want to feel badass. Note that these aren’t Hell’s Angels or other outlaw/ criminal gangs, just regular clubs.

The appeal of motorcycles seems to be fading among younger folks (under 50 or even 60) that I notice. Not having grown up with that 1960’s motorcycle culture, Easy Rider, and so on, they don’t see the appeal of an expensive machine that still uses gas and can make one an instant organ donor when it meets an SUV.
