It wouldn't happen at the speed of sound

Because in my example what transmits at the speed of sound is things moving through the medium

Moving the Jenga block is moving the entire medium at once

I mean this is not super smart, it's just some way I can try and conceptualize the fact that we may have instant connection with things that are distant. Quantum entanglement or stuff like that.

Because the one way you have instant connection between one side of the block and the other is the fact they're all the same piece of wood. Perhaps you could even say a point on opposite ends ends of the block or actually the same because they're the same wood fiber that longitudinally transverses the medium.
