The fact that we are entirely composed of matter is also not proof that matter gives rise to conscious experience. With this argument, you are already presupposing that conscious experience is only to be found in organisms with certain properties like humans (which is unprovable because subjective experience is not measurable objectively). And even if it does only occur in such organisms, that merely shows a correlation between organism and consciousness, not a causal relationship of how the matter within those organisms creates conscious experience.

Predictive processing does not solve the hard problem of consciousness. This approach explains how the brain processes information, adapts, and optimizes experiences. However, it does not offer a direct solution to how subjective experience arises from physical processes. It merely describes the mechanisms of information processing, not the nature of consciousness itself.

Lastly, with "argument from authority" I was referring to your statement that materialism is true because it is a "well-defined and researched theory that is backed up by numerous researchers". That is not an argument, as it simply appeals to the purported status quo of what researchers currently believe, without addressing the actual question. Regarding this point, I also wouldn't call materialism a "theory", as it is not a scientific theory at all, but rather a philosophical worldview and ontology.
