I agree it's not possible long term, but it will still do a crazy amount of damage. Look at FTX. They sold fake bitcoin. Yeah, they got caught and crumbled, but so much retail is scarred by it and think that Bitcoin is the real scam, not just FTX.

The same will happen, but on a much larger scale if it happens to an ETF. This is why I only advocate for self custody bitcoin. Holders are not affected by these shenanigans.
