But this is some other actress playing a part. They aren’t claiming it as “her” nor are they claiming it as Johansson. There is no impersonation here.
So the only “problem“ is that it’s similar in concept to a trope that has been around for a while AND that Johansson’s performance of a fictional version is recent enough to benefit from the current news cycle.
The issue is: at what point are new human actors blocked from roles because existing companies (using AI generations of prior actors) now own the concepts of the character type? That odd highly problematic.
I understand that I’m tilting at a windmill here. If I was a performer I’d be really mad about this land grab but, shrug, I can see it will happen because “AI” fears.
