Then why be beholden to USA companies? If you have a local development group, and are confident in your local managers.. then why are you working for a foreign body? You already mentioned our inherent xenophobia, which I am saddened by, but don't disagree with.

Now my question, I answer myself: I have worked with absolutely excellent developers out of the Netherlands and Poland, and the reason they work for U.S corporations is because they pay. And they all want a job, and pay.

So if you want to bite the hand that feeds us all, go ahead with the "we can out dev, we can out manage, we can out X" and do it! And then you acquire a U.S. based marketing firm to penetrate the U.S. market. Just have to get the capital first!
