Is that a bit like my dad's share portfolio?

He inherited a large portfolio from my wealthy grandparents and it pays him out enough for him to live comfortably in his retirement.

I will then inherit the same portfolio.

I get a share of other people's work so that I never have to work again. It's a good deal tbh.

My grandfathers work is still paying for my dad's retirement and will pay for mine. I can hand it to my kids when I'm dead.

His labour wasn't stolen.

Inflation hasn't been a problem. Dividends rise in line. The dividends have long paid back the initial investment and will continue to pay out.

We never have to sell the shares. Why would you ever sell!

Is bitcoin like that? Although, you can't sell it infinitely so maybe it isn't. Sorry if I don't understand.
