Yep. The other voices are not the same. And what really sucks for me personally is that my 5-year old son, who has autism, was very much used to the Sky voice. He's non-verbal and it was one of the few ways we could get him to say more than a few words at a time. Now he's a little weirded out because he can definitely tell the difference. He's kind of interacting, but he hates change, and now he's not speaking to it much at all.
I really, really hope this is only temporary. If it's permanent, I'll be pretty sad as it was one of the few ways to get my son to open up.
And regarding the new "flirty" voice, I really hope someone at OpenAI sees this comment. Just because a voice is overly friendly, and laughs or giggles, doesn't mean it's only because it's flirting. Don't get me wrong, I totally get why they might think that, but I hate that this is where people's minds immediately go, which really sucks for the people who will use it in a niche, "non-girlfriend" way.
Sometimes that type of personality is comforting for children with special needs (which is why, I think, Miss Rachel on YouTube is so successful).
Anyway, I'm probably concerned about a bunch of nothing, but had to get my thoughts on paper as I was initially pretty frustrated hearing the news.
