The [Second Anglo-Boer War](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Anglo-Boer_War) from 1899 till 1902 was a sign of what to come: Guerilla war and concentration camps. After occupying the two Boer republics the British were faced against Boer Commandos who could hit anywhere and then simply disappeared. To fight those Commandos the British high command (later under Lord Kitchener) burned farms, forced the civilian population into concentration camps and constructed chains of blockhouses across South Africa.

The documentary is from the BBC but it's rather critical of the British. It contains eyewitness reports from soldiers on both sides.
